Episode 08: Friends Matter

Celebrating Friendship & Respect in Music

In an industry that moves fast and often forgets to slow down, I’m grateful for the relationships that are built on mutual respect, authenticity, and shared love for the craft. One friendship I truly value is with Justin "Henny" Henderson.

Henny’s résumé speaks for itself: Grammy wins, iconic records, and a deep impact on the sound of modern music, but what I respect most has nothing to do with accolades. It’s his humility, his consistency, and his genuine respect for the creative process and the people behind it. He listens. He encourages. He shows up with wisdom, not ego.

Our conversations, whether about music, life, or navigating the industry, are always grounded. There’s a shared understanding that excellence isn’t just about success, but about integrity, growth, and how you treat others along the way. That kind of energy is rare, and it’s something I don’t take lightly.

I’m thankful for the friendship, the inspiration, and the example he sets not just as a Grammy-winning producer, but as a solid human being. Relationships like this remind me why I love music in the first place: connection, respect, and purpose.
